To those who feel they may be
"Slipping Away"in this fast paced society and
think that we should all just "Slow Down"... and
to those who have said they want to "Change the
World" and question "How It Will Go"...
or to those who feel confined by their problems and wish it would all just
"Go Away" then this inspirational album by KIT
CAIRNS is "For You."
To those who find that it
"Hurts to Breathe" and need
"Wide Open Spaces"...or to those who just want
guidance to "Show You The Way"... and to those
who know that it is "A long Way Down" but want
to keep "Living" then the positive approach to
life found in this album is "Waiting For You."
The insightful and thought provoking lyrical
content and unique conglomeration of catchy poetic-pop-rock rhythms found in
This Is Me is certain to be a helpful hit for troubled souls. This time period
in human history (2006) is one filled with chaos, deceit and exploitation, but
This Is Me offers hope and honesty from someone who cares.
Although This Is Me is Kit Cairns' first
legitimate solo attempt at creating music, he has individually produced two
other demonstration CD's: Handmade (2003) and a Karoke CD titled With A Little
Help (2002)." Kit is also a current member of the band No Boundaries and
produced and co-wrote their Album No Holds Barred released in 2004. Kit has
been the sole person in the production, recording, and mixing of the music, as
well as the manufacturing, promotion, and distribution of the CD. Almost every
song was written and played by Kit Cairns.
27 years old and currently residing in one of
the fastest growing four season communities in Canada (Barrie, Ontario), Kit
hopes to capture a following of people who want to make a difference. Having
lived in many different areas such as Barrie, Thunder Bay, Peterborough,
Stratford, Collingwood, Uxbridge and Toronto, Kit has well grounded roots
throughout Ontario.
Inspired by Alanis Morissette, Neil Young, and
Henry David Thoreau, Kit Cairns is a down-to-earth individual who searches for
a balance between the simple and material worlds.
Kit hopes to continue to connect with
individuals through his music and expand his following through exposure and
persistence. He believes in life long learning and is always willing to
experiemnt and try new things while promoting characrter building and positive
change. Currently Kit is a Teacher in the Secondary School System and models
these philosophies everyday in every aspect of his life. He enjys playing his
songs whenever he can including festivals, private functions open stages, pubs

allow him to further develop his music, direct and tune his creativity, and
